If you find yourself with a 2 button mouse and using an X server, where you had a 3 button mouse before, you will find things such as mouse cut and paste more difficult. Initially I thought xmodmap(1), however a friend pointed me to the following entry into xorg.conf:
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "true"
which I can gladly say I used cut and paste to post this.
