RJ-45 Cross-over Colours. The top view is looking at the RJ-45 bit where the copper pins are facing you and the click-in pin is on the opposite side.
The leftmost pin starts at 1 and the rightmost pin ends at 8. The most common sequence is 1. orange-white 2. orange 3. green-white 4. blue 5. blue-white 6. green 7. brown-white 8. brown. In the diagram there is no white but the hues of the colours are somewhat lighter.
The front view is diagrammed with the click-in pin facing upward, see the colours as if you had flipped the RJ-45 bit 90 degrees toward you from the top.
To have a cross-over cable you would have one end like a straight-thru and the other end like the combination just described. This is good for computer-computer or switch-switch communication.
