Topology - a hub/spoke network is perhaps not the best. Here in Germany everything almost goes through Frankfurt, where do you think they spy/watch us? A society with a network that allows easy spying of everyone (panopticon is a geometric shape that allows this for example) WILL INVITE SPYING. Would you give up facebook, google, twitter and Yahoo because a bunch of Jerks in your government are spying on everyone? No you wouldn't. But there is something one can do? Yes, maybe.
- Routers - software/hardware should be from your country. I wouldn't like it if every router software in my country was from China or the USA, sorry... home bred, home responsibility.
- Topology - a hub/spoke network is perhaps not the best. Here in Germany everything almost goes through Frankfurt, where do you think they spy/watch us? A full disorganized mesh network may be better because it makes many gateways.
