Tethering on Ubuntu
When you plug the USB from your Nokia E71 into your PC, your phone gives you 4 options. While intuitively you might choose "PC to Web" but in fact the option you want to choose is "PC Suite". Once you have done this, on the Ubuntu machine under network manager you should now see the option of your cellular provider under "Mobile broadband". Choose this and you should now have internet connectivity.
