As we're often providing metadata about ourselves that organizations can use for their gain, or malicious usage, I have started this page to document steps we can take to reduce the amount of metadata we provide:
- Use cash, don't use debit or credit cards. Otherwise, every item you purchase can be tracked and sold.
- Take the sim card out of your cell phone, or leave it at home, otherwise your physical location can be tracked.
- Try our recommend Firefox plugins and block cookies if you don't want your tracks left on the internet. Use a proxy chain like tor to be even safer.
